Street artist Neequaye Dreph Dsane, aka Dreph, is painting giant murals of inspirational black women around London. They’re part of a series the Ghanaian-British artist calls “You Are Enough”.
The subjects of the portrait series are ordinary black women doing extraordinary things in their local communities. They include philanthropists, youth workers, activists, home makers and health consultants.
Dreph aims to increase the visibility of black women in society. In a short documentary by Channel 4 News, “This project is about empowerment, it’s about female empowerment.”
You can check out the beautiful murals around east London and Soho.
